The Touch Cards were mini handheld trackpads designed as slim, portable touch gesture pads for VR input. We explored both small (business card-sized) and larger (phone-sized) formats, incorporating typical trackpad gestures like swipes and taps, as well as innovative ideas like a laser pointer for interaction. In addition to natural wood, we also explored soft-touch rubber materials to create a pleasing tactile feel. The combination of wood and tech-inspired aesthetics helped break the mold, offering both functionality and a unique sensory experience. This exploration aimed to push the boundaries of input devices by creating something both practical and visually striking.
